If you could read my list of albums that for me marked 2010, then you would have found Sleigh Bells debut album Treats. With Reign of Terror due out on 20 February 2012, my appetite has been well and truly whetted by the video for Comeback Kid and the Soundtrack release of Born to Lose. Even if the music below isn't enough, I'm going to plug Black Book's excellent interview with Derek Miller, who dissects every track and name drops the likes of Pantera, Nirvana, Metallica and Van Halen amongst the track influences.

I fully accept that Sleigh Bells are highly unlikely going to be everyone's cup of tea, but based on what I've heard so far Reign of Terror may well be my album of 2012 - judge for yourself.
